The Testaments isn’t holding back it seems. We dropped into Gilead just as Agnes (Chase Infiniti) graduated from Plum to Green, and now she’s about to be married off. I keep waiting for June (Elizabeth Moss) to come barreling in to save her. But it looks like Agnes’ fate is to become a Commander’s wife. And not the Commander she’s interested in.
The Testaments episode 7 “Commitment” will pick up where last week’s episode left off. Aunt Vidala (Mabel Li) had just arrived at the enormous McKenzie mansion to tell Agnes and her parents about the Commanders who want to marry Agnes.

Agnes’ Fate Is Revealed
In the last episode, Agnes asked Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) to make her crush, Garth (Brad Alexander) one of her matches because he is going to be made a Commander soon. It appeared as if Aunt Lydia was inclined to grant the request, but it seems she didn’t.
I have to wonder if Lydia’s complicated past with June factored into her decision. Is Agnes really about to get married off to some crusty old Commander? June- you need to come get your daughter!
Does Daisy Get Caught?
And it looks Daisy (Lucy Halliday) is going to be at serious risk of being discovered. Which isn’t a huge surprise really. She’s still a teenager, not brought up in a restrictive and oppressive place like Gilead, so of course she’s having a little trouble faking it. But lives besides her own depend on her committing to her role as a Pearl Girl so I hope she can get it together before she or someone else gets hurt.
My heart breaks for Becka (Mattea Conforti) who is being forced into a marriage she doesn’t want. And sooner or later I’m guessing she’s going to find out that her father has been molesting all her friends. I’m a little worried Becka is going to try and do something desperate to avoid being forced to marry.
I’m curious to find out more about Aunt Estee (Eva Foote)’s comment that she was the original Pearl Girl. Is she Mayday too? What does she know? I’m hoping Daisy will find out more about that soon. With only a handful of episodes left, things are about to jump off in Gilead. I’m hoping we get another June appearance too, before the season ends.
